  in this appearance could be a warning sign for a pathological process\, t
 he most serious of which is oral cancer\,” said Patrick W. Walker\, DMD\,
  of Oral & Facial Surgery Associates. “If you’re experiencing any of these
  symptoms\, have risk factors\, or haven’t had your annual screening yet\,
