In honor of Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month, South Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery will offer free oral cancer screenings April 17 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Peachtree City office, located at 406 Stevens Entry. To participate, interested individuals need to arrive at the specified time, date, and location, and tell the staff they would like a free oral cancer screening.

“We are honored to partner with the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation to offer this free service to our community,” said Vincent J. Perciaccante, DDS, FACS, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with South Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. “Oral cancer has a survival rate of 80 to 90%, when detected early. That’s why screening events like this are so important. Many oral cancer cases go undetected until they are categorized as late-stage cancers. If a pathology like oral cancer is present, it’s better to diagnose it as soon as possible.”
