&lt;p&gt;April is widely recognized as Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month, a time to increase awareness of the condition, risk factors, statistics and screenings. The American Cancer Society estimates that there will be 60,480 new cases of oral cavity or oropharyngeal (middle throat) cancer  with 13,150 deaths attributed to it  in 2026.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Early detection is key, said Vincent J. Perciaccante, DDS, FACS, of South Oral &amp; Maxillofacial Surgery. The good news is that oral cancer has a survival rate of 80-90% when diagnosed early, according to the Head &amp; Neck Cancer Foundation. Thats why cancer screenings like this are so important.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The American Cancer Society reports that the average age of people diagnosed with these cancers is 64 and that one in five cases occur in people younger than 55. Some risk factors to consider include smoking and alcohol use, genetic predisposition, nutrition, mouth/face injuries, oral hygiene and certain medical conditions/diseases.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Pathology is often painless, so dont wait until you experience pain added Bruce Anderson, DDS, of Metropolitan Oral &amp; Maxillofacial Surgery Associates. If you see or feel something different in your mouth, have it evaluated by a qualified healthcare professional.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Some common symptoms to look for include whitish or reddish patches, sores that wont heal  particularly those that bleed  as well as unexplained swelling, bleeding or lumps. Some other common symptoms identified by the CDC include difficulty performing daily functions like breathing, speaking and chewing or swallowing food.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;With the distance between Moneypennys two locations spanning 4,110 miles, the company set out to log enough steps to complete the journeyand the results far exceeded expectations. Over four weeks, Moneypenny colleagues walked an astounding 8,023 miles, enough to travel from Atlanta to Wrexham and nearly all the way back.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Abigail Blomgren, Working Life Specialist at Moneypenny US, spearheaded the challenge with a focus on both increasing physical activity and raising awareness for heart health:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We saw this as a great opportunity to encourage our team to prioritize their well-being while having fun. Walking is such a simple but powerful way to boost both physical and mental health, and this challenge was a fantastic way to come together with our UK colleagues. Its inspiring to see how much we can achieve when we work toward a shared goal.&lt;/p&gt;

Participating employees helped clean and organize the community kitchen where families enjoy home-cooked meals, and looked after the children in the Afterschool Club where they helped them make wooden racecars.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Through the VoiceNation partnership, employees sign-up to volunteer on chosen dates with both Rainbow Villages Afterschool Club and Life Skills Evenings. For the weekday afterschool program VoiceNation volunteers will help children with their pre-planned activities, ranging from STEM, crafts, free play, financial literacy, and emotional intelligence for children aged 5 to 18.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Life Skills Evenings are part of Rainbow Villages residential program (ASPIRE) providing evening classes for parents that take place four times a month.
